For Expecting Mothers

During pregnancy, the majority of pregnant women in Japan wear haramaki as a pregnancy band.

The purpose is three-fold:

On the one hand, wearing a haramaki belly band provides a nice,
light support to the growing belly as well as to the lower back area.

On the other, it keeps the belly warm and protected.

Last but not least, wearing haramaki as a pregnancy band dramatically
expands the mother's pregnancy wardrobe by allowing her to wear her
pre-pregnancy clothes such as pants and tops without exposing any skin!
